Remember when it was fun to listen to the radio? Your Deeper Into Music host does. Progressive FM in the 70s was an exciting unpredictable experience. Deeper Into Music is a project that seeks to recapture that sort of experience in a modern setting. Instead of FM radio limited to a hundred miles, DIM is available world-wide. Instead of the same songs played to death, Deeper Into Music is an ever-changing mix of the new mixed intelligently with the old - the fresh and the classics. It's a curated, carefully shaped listening experience that I hope you enjoy.
Deeper Into Music, based in Carrboro, North Carolina (USA), covers the world via streaming services located in St. Louis, Missouri and London, England.
Deeper Into Music is served up for you free of charge by me, Keith Weston. I'm a DJ* from Carrboro, NC. I design this website, compile most of the music and generally keep Deeper Into Music going as best I can. I started it as a fun side project in 2000 to entertain two or three friends. Until March 2009 DIM ran from my home office. Now streaming from professional-grade data centers based in the US and UK, every day thousands of listeners across the world tune in to get a little Deeper Into Music.
While I pick out most of the music, you get to choose what gets played, too, Just make a request - and as quickly as legally possible I'll play it for you. Or, make my best effort to do so - you know how technology can be!
