Why DIM? - More about Deeper Into Music
Remember when it was fun to listen to the radio? Your DIM host does. Progressive FM in the 70s was an exciting unpredictable experience. Like a box of chocolates every day, to borrow an analogy from Forrest Gump. Deeper Into Music is a project that seeks to recapture that sort of experience in a modern setting. Instead of FM radio limited to a hundred miles, DIM is available world-wide. Instead of the same songs played to death, DIM is an ever-changing mix of the new mixed intelligently with the old - the fresh and the classics. It's a currated, carefully shaped listening experience that I hope you enjoy Who am I? Keep reading...
Meet Mr. DIM - your host Keith Weston
DIM is served up for you free of charge by me, Keith Weston. I'm a DJ* from Carrboro, NC. I design the website, compile most of the music and generally keep DIM going as best I can. I started it as a fun side project in 2000 to entertain two or three friends. Until March 2009 DIM ran from my home office. Now streaming from a professional-grade data center, every day thousands of listeners across the world tune in to get a little Deeper Into Music.
While I pick out most of the music, you get to choose what gets played, too, Just make a request - and as quickly as legally possible I'll play it for you. Or, make my best effort to do so - you know how technology can be!
Now that you've met me, sign my guest book and say hello yourself. Oh, and would you like to add your voice to Deeper Into Music? Call to leave a voice mail for broadcast at 919-324-3918 (US phone charges apply) or send a recording of your voice.
